Mayor Daley talks finances, lights a Christmas tree and mourns victims of drunk driving
- 10:00am -- Mayor Daley answers reporters' questions at City Hall regarding city finances. If you are anywhere in the vicinity and can get into the press room, I cannot recommend such a gathhering more highly. As I hope you recall, a press conference is where I first encountered the Mayor.
- 12:30pm -- Mayor Daley participates in the 95th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Daley Plaza. The nature of the Mayor's participation will be for you to report on. Get those cameras ready.
- 4:00pm -- Mayor Daley attends the 27th Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony and Vigil for victims of drunk driving. Back at City Hall for this one.
DALEY CHATTER
Today we step away from traditional media and see what others are saying about the Mayor. Here are some recent musings:
- A software architect in Wheaton, IL tweeted the following:
"Had a dream last night that I was telling Mayor Daley about Amazon Elastic Computing Cloud."
- Another local Twitterati asks:
"Who will hold Mayor Daley and other politicians responsible for ramrodding unworkable O'Hare expansion? http://bit.ly/gmvv"

What about traditions? It's always at 7pm. Is he too lazy or thinks he is too good for traditions?

Yes, our Mayor Daley is "forward-thinking" and a "reformer." Traditions haven't got much of a place in that kind of ideology.
